Julia Shapiro shares "Wrong Time" from new solo album Zorked
Julia Shapiro has released new track "Wrong Time" as the third single from her upcoming solo album Zorked.
"Wrong Time" lands after earlier outings "Death (XIII)" and "Come With Me", and was written in June 2020.
The Chastity Belt, Childbirth and Who Is She? musician says of the new single, "I wrote this song in June 2020, after fully coming to terms with the fact that I was now living in LA during a seemingly never-ending global pandemic. This song is about being cursed, but not fully admitting it - fighting hard to keep your life together, against all odds, and cursing yourself even further in the process."
Zorked will follow Shapiro's 2019 debut solo album Perfect Version, and is co-produced by Shapiro's roommate Melina Duterte (Jay Som).
Shapiro says of the album title, "It’s funny to force people to have to say Zorked out loud. Any other title sounded pretentious."
