JPEGMAFIA drops politically-charged single "THE BENDS!"
JPEGMAFIA is back with his new anti-Trump track "THE BENDS!".
"THE BENDS!" is JPEGMAFIA's first new release since last month's "CUTIE PIE!", and sees the rapper take aim at President Trump.
Pitchfork notes that the song opens with a sample of Donald Trump speaking at an Atlanta event in November 2019 called Black Voices for Trump.
In the song, JPEGMAFIA raps, "My leader treat me like a enemy / He’s a casualty wonder if he cries when he sees fans of me / Cant believe we thought he’d be the man for we."
"THE BENDS!" is JPEGMAFIA's sixth single of 2020, following on from "BALD!" (and more recently, his "BALD!" remix featuring Denzel Curry), "Covered In Money!", "BODYGUARD" and "CUTIE PIE!".
Last month the rapper also featured on BROCKHAMPTON's "chain on / hold me".
As well as releasing his new LP All My Heroes Are Cornballs last year, JPEGMAFIA also featured on Vegyn's "Nauseous / Devilish" and Tkay Maidza's "Awake".
