Jorja Smith launches BBC Radio 3 series Tearjerker
Jorja Smith has launched a new BBC Radio 3 show series called Tearjerker, which sees her explore the healing power of music.
The "Come Over" singer launched her Tearjerker show last Saturday (16 January) with two one-hour-long episodes, the first featuring string-inspired music, and the second sees her present her favourite piano pieces.
Smith shared news of her new Tearjerker BBC Radio 3 show on socials today (18 January), writing, "I’m presenting a new show called Tearjerker on BBC Sounds full of music u can escape to."

According to Radio Today, Tearjerker is a 12-part series.
Smith said of the series, "It’s important to try and find time to just let go and let music take you to a different place. I hope the music in my new series – from strings and piano to songs and soundtracks – will help you whatever you’re feeling, bring out different emotions and make you feel a little better. Presenting it made me feel a lot more relaxed too."
Tearjerker isn't the only new BBC Radio 3 show launching this month, as Celeste will premiere her first episode of Downtime Symphony this Saturday (23 January).
