Jonny Greenwood, Michael Gira and more to contribute for Epiphanies book
The Wire is set to publish a book compiling the most evocative contributions to their Epiphanies column. Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood and Swans’ Michael Gira are amongst the names contributing their essays.
First run in January 1998, The Wire's 'Epiphanies' column saw celebrated musicians contribute essays on their own musical epiphanies. Now the publication has anthologised over 50 of these into a book entitled Epiphanies: Life-changing Encounters With Music.
Other contributors include Little Annie, Jerry Dammers, Geeta Dayal, Paul Gilroy, Kenneth Goldsmith, David Grubbs, Adam Harper, Stewart Lee, Lydia Lunch, Momus, Ian Penman, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Nina Power, Simon Reynolds, Sukhdev Sandhu, and Robert Wyatt, to name a few.
The book will see release on 30 April via Strange Attractor Press. To see a full list of chapters, and to preorder the book, click here.
