Jonny Greenwood has made a new song for upcoming Licorice Pizza film starring Alana Haim
Radiohead's Jonny Greenwood has created the title-track for Paul Thomas Anderson’s Licorice Pizza film, which stars Alana Haim.
Greenwood has been busy working on multiple film scores over recent months, with his Spencer score having arrived today (12 November), and as well as recently releasing Radiohead's KID A MNESIA, Greenwood has contributed a new song to Paul Thomas Anderson's upcoming Licorice Pizza film.
The soundtrack for Licorice Pizza will include songs by David Bowie, Nina Simone, and Paul McCartney and Wings, Donovan, Sonny & Cher and more, as well as Greenwood's title-track "Licorice Pizza".
Licorice Pizza, according to IMDb, is a film set in the 1970s that "follows a high school student, who is also a successful child actor". The film is written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, and stars Alana Haim, marking her first feature film role, alongside Bradley Cooper, Tom Waits, Ben Stiller, Sean Penn, Benny Safdie (director of Uncut Gems), John C. Reilly, and more.
As well as working on the Spencer score and "Licorice Pizza" song recently, Greenwood released "25 Years" and "West" from his upcoming score for Netflix's The Power of the Dog film last month.
