Savages producer Johnny Hostile announces debut solo record with lead single "Stay Awake"
Johnny Hostile takes a break from his renowned producing to focus on his own solo material. His debut album (dys)function was announced with lead single "Stay Awake".
Having produced for the likes of Savages and French-singing Lescop, Johnny Hostile is taking some time to explore his own sound.
Despite opening for Savages on their world tour in 2013, the French composer and producer has taken his time to master his solo material, having only just announced his debut solo release (dys)function.
Lead single "Stay Awake" is a snapshot into the brooding ambience that his solo material will bring.
Previous to his work with Savages, Hostile was in another indie group named John & Jehn that began in 2006, including Savages frontwoman Jehnny Beth and Savages guitarist Gemma Thompson.
