Johnny Cash's American Recordings albums set for deluxe vinyl box set reissue
Johnny Cash may be most hailed for his prolific time in the 1960s and '70s, but this year USM will bring together a classic black box housing all American Recordings albums released between 1994 and 2010 on 180gm vinyl.
It contains American Recordings, American Recordings II: Unchained, American Recordings III: Solitary Man, American Recordings IV: The Man Comes Around, American Recordings V: A Hundred Highways and American Recordings VI: Ain’t No Grave.
The bundle comprises 79 tracks from the multi-platinum-selling, seventeen Grammy Award-winning country legend.
American Recordings is the 81st album by the Man In Black. It received a Grammy for 'Best Contemporary Folk Album of the Year' at the 1994 Grammy Awards. In 2003, the album was ranked number 364 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time.
Many unheard songs were recorded during the American V sessions before Cash's death on September 12, 2003. However, only two albums worth of material were released, including American VI: Ain't No Grave, which was released in February 2010.
The Johnny Cash American Recordings LP Box Set willl be released on 11 May via USM.
