Ever wanted to listen to John Peel’s vinyl? The late Radio 1 presenter’s record collection is set to be catalogued online, with the first 100 being unveiled tomorrow (1 May).
The project, funded by the Arts and Culture board, is set to “digitalise” the collection online. Whether or not the contents are to be streamed or simply previewed has not yet been outlined.
The Stool Pigeon reports that the legendary DJ’s collection comprises of 25,000 vinyl albums and 40,000 singles.
The first 100 will be uploaded tomorrow and available on this website. A further 100 will be released each week thereafter.
