John Grant to release live album featuring the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra
Early in October ex-Czars frontman John Grant produced a memorable performance with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. It was a set that was broadcast across BBC 6Music and other BBC networks. Now Bella Union have announced that John Grant With The BBC Philharmonic Orchestra: Live In Concert will be released on 1 December.
Grant's unique one-off performance showcased his celebrated catalogue alongside the 60-piece orchestra at the BBC's MediaCity in Salford. Later this month Grant embarks on a sold-out tour with the Royal Northern Sinfonia, at some of the UK's most prestigious venues.
In 2013, Grant's second album Pale Green Ghosts received widespread success and critical acclaim.
