John Grant announces third solo album Grey Tickles, Black Pressure
John Grant has announced details of his third full-length studio album, Grey Tickles, Black Pressure, and a huge new tour of Europe.
The record was recorded with John Congleton (St Vincent, Franz Ferdinand, Swans) in Dallas, Texas.
Talking about the record, Grant said:
“I do think the album’s great, and I’m really proud of it. I wanted to get moodier and angrier on this record, but I probably had a lot more fun making it... I want to continue to challenge myself; to keep collaborating, to get the sound or the direction that will take me where I need to go. To keep taking the bull by the horns.”
As well as a lengthy trek around Europe for headline dates, including two UK dates (London and Brighton), Grant will perform at this year's Iceland Airwaves.
Grey Tickles, Black Pressure is out on Bella Union on 2 October. It follows 2013's Pale Green Ghosts. You can pre-order it here.
