John Carpenter details first non-soundtrack LP in nearly five years with new single "Weeping Ghost"
John Carpenter has announced Lost Themes III: Alive After Death, his first non-soundtrack album in nearly five years, and has shared "Weepinng Ghost" as the lead single.
"Weeping Ghost" will appear on Carpenter's new LP alongside July's "Skeleton" single.
Lost Themes III: Alive After Death sees Carpenter reunite with his son Cody Carpenter and godson Daniel Davies for their follow up to 2016's Lost Themes II album.
John Carpenter says of the trio's recording process, "We begin with a theme, a bass line, a pad, something that sounds good and will lead us to the next layer. We then just keep adding on from there. We understand each other's strengths and weaknesses, how to communicate without words, and the process is easier now than it was in the beginning. We’ve matured."
