John Cale to play next month's ATP 2.0 festivals in Prestatyn and Manchester
Stewart Lee and Drive Like Jehu are curating this year's events, which take place next month.
Speaking about the addition of Cale, Lee says:
"John Cale's addition to the bill is especially pleasing. His viola is the defining sound of the song the festival took its name from, and it's not an exaggeration to say that without his pioneering work before, during, and after his time in The Velvet Underground most of the music in this year's ATP wouldn't exist. And it's great to be in Wales with the most culturally significant Welsh alternative musician in rock history, although Charlotte Church is also appearing."
Earlier this month the Drive Like Jehu ATP 2.0 event was moved from its original home at Prestatyn, North Wales, to Manchester's Victoria Warehouse.
Stewart Lee curates ATP 2.0 15-17 April. The Drive Like Jehu-curated event takes place 22-24 April.
