John Cale pulls out of this month's ATP 2.0 festivals
John Cale will not be playing the Drive Like Jehu and Stewart Lee-curated ATP 2.0 festivals this month.
Lee's event begins tonight at Pontin's Prestatyn, North Wales.
Cale was announced for the festivals only a few weeks ago, but has now decided to cancel. In a statement, the legendary Velvet Underground musician says: "We did our best to believe in the organisers, in the end, they let us all down..."
Last month the Drive Like Jehu ATP 2.0 event was moved from its original home at Prestatyn to Manchester's Victoria Warehouse.
Stewart Lee curates ATP 2.0 15-17 April. The Drive Like Jehu-curated event takes place 22-24 April.
