Jóhann Jóhannsson to score upcoming Blade Runner sequel
Academy Award-nominated composer Jóhann Jóhannsson is on board to score the upcoming Blade Runner sequel.
Harrison Ford is set to reprise his role as Rick Deckard in the follow up to Ridley Scott's 1982 classic. Ryan Gosling, Jared Leto, and more will star in the flick, with Denis Villenueve on hand to direct - Jóhannsson and Villenueve worked on the latter's acclaimed 2015 film Sicario and upcoming release Arrival.
Blade Runner 2 is pencilled in for a 6 October 2017 release.
Jóhansson has been twice nominated for a Best Original Score Academy Award - the aforementioned Sicario and Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory Of Everything.
