Joey Bada$$ is prepping the release of long-awaited debut long-player B4.DA.$$, and along the way he's been dropping a few new cuts. The latest has just arrived, and it's called "Curry Chicken".
Using roaring '20s-esque big band production, crackling beats and some impressive record scratching, Bada$$ has made ruthlessly slick hip-hop. Sonically there are a few links to the likes of Tyler, The Creator when he blends crisp flows with glossy jazz-focused backdrops, but there are also nods to his old-school leanings and NYC roots.
It's produced by Statik Selektah and focuses on Bada$$'s Caribbean heritage and mother.
B4.DA.$$ is due out 19 January.
