Jme thanks fans for buying his album and jokes about the wait for it on streaming platforms
Jme has thanked fans who have bought his Grime MC album, and even joked about the wait for his album to be uploaded onto streaming platforms.
It's pretty clear that Jme is in no rush to put his Grime MC album on the likes of Spotify, Apple Music, TIDAL, etc.
In a recent GASWORKS interview, Jme explained his opinion on streaming platforms, "The thought that all us musicians are just like, employees. We're just doing something for some big streaming thing, some big companies, that's all we do...You all make music, and then you put it in this place, and everyone has to go and listen to it, and that's what frustrated me, I was like 'rah, that's not what I want to do'."
Grime MC landed in November on vinyl and CD, and on New Year's Day (1 January), Jme made it available to buy through iTunes, Amazon, and more.
This morning (3 January), Jme thanked his fans for their support on Twitter and jokes about the wait for his album on streaming platforms. He wrote, "If you only stream music, then don’t worry I’ve got you. If you want to wait. If not, just bootleg it. Love to everyone that came out of their house to represent respect to all who ordered online. and love to all who couldn’t and are now downloading it."
