Jeff Tweedy to produce new Mavis Staples album

Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy seems to be on a producing spree at the moment, adding gospel/R&B chanteuse Mavis Staples to the lists of acts he’s been keeping busy recording with over the last couple of months.
The pair had previously worked together on 2010 LP You Are Not Alone, and now it’s been confirmed that Tweedy was at the studio helm for this new one too.
Staples is set to release One True Vine on 25 June via Wilco’s own label (as well as that of Tom Waits) Anti- Records. You can listen to the singer’s new track ‘Can You Get to That’ below, with the full tracklist looking as follows:
