Jealous of the Birds releases new song "Epistle"
Jealous of the Birds has released "Epistle" as the latest preview of her forthcoming album Peninsula that lands on Friday (18 September).
"Epistle" follows on from previous singles "Something Holy" and "Young Neanderthal".
Naomi Hamilton, aka Jealous of the Birds, says, ""Epistle" was one of those rare songs that emerged almost fully-formed during the writing of the album. It’s a love letter -- an affirmation to live deliciously in tandem with another human being through the flux and flow we experience in life. I wanted it to have a youthful hopefulness and yet the self-awareness of the complexity of braiding one’s life with another’s. There’s an equality of trust to that which is really beautiful to me."
Peninsula will be Hamilton's first album in four years, after 2016's Parma Violets.
The new album features production from David Wrench (David Byrne, Jaime xx, FKA Twigs) and Marta Salogni (Björk, Anna Meredith, Georgia Ruth).
