Rapper, label owner, NBA boss: Jay-Z is to alter his resume slightly by selling his share in basketball team Brooklyn Nets to become an agent to sports stars instead.
As ESPN report, the hip-hop icon is set to add a Roc Nation Sports wing to his entertainments company. But, frustratingly for both parties, Jigga will have to end his courtship with formerly New Jersey-based basketball team Brooklyn Nets as NBA rulings say there would be a conflict of interest.
Jay-Z’s involvement in the team has been paramount since their relocation to New York, and it would come as a blow to the company’s growth and stature as a whole.
