Jarvis Cocker says Pulp will reunite for shows in 2023
Jarvis Cocker has confirmed that Pulp are reuniting for a series of shows in 2023.
Yesterday (25 July) during a Q+A hosted by The Guardian for his new memoir Good Pop, Bad Pop, Cocker announced that Pulp will be getting back together for some concerts next year.
The news comes after Cocker shared a cryptic Instagram post last week that featured the lyric "What exactly do you do for an encore?" from Pulp's 1998 album title-track "This Is Hardcore”. Fans speculated that a reunion could be on the cards, and Cocker said yesterday (25 July) that the Instagram post was "deliberately cryptic," before adding, "Next year Pulp are going to play some concerts!"
Next question on THAT Instagram post from last week. JC: “It was deliberately cryptic. It’s a line from This Is Hardcore… Next year Pulp are going to play some concerts!”

HUGE APPLAUSE!!!
More details are yet to be announced, but Pulp's Nick Banks wrote on Twitter, “Hey folks, unsurprisingly it’s has all gone a bit mental on here. Gig details will be revealed as and when. Stay calm, hug your #pulp records and dream of going mental sometime in 2023.”

Pulp previously reunited in 2010 as the Different Class line-up (Cocker, Nick Banks, Candida Doyle, Steve Mackey, Russell Senior and Mark Webber), and toured Europe and Australia in 2011. Their last show was in December 2012 in Sheffield.
