Jarvis Cocker hints at Pulp split… again
Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker has cast doubt on the future of the reformed Sheffield band.
Speaking to Q Magazine, the singer revealed that the band are not writing any new material currently and could end their reunion tour shortly.
Cocker told the mag:
“I’ve enjoyed the fact that we haven’t been doing any new stuff, because I felt that’s kept it quite simple… We haven’t been in the studio or anything. I don’t know what will happen in the future.”
Continuing:
“It was a big enough challenge to learn how to play all the old songs and, hopefully, perform them in a convincing way. We haven’t got any planned after the New Year… We’ll just be cruising off into the sunset. Seems poetic. Not wishing to make a big deal, but we’ve played for a while and it’s been really good, but you can’t keep doing that forever. Will you see Pulp again? Who knows.”
The group are set to play a hometown show on 8 December, before embarking on the S.S. Coachella cruise.
