Japanese Breakfast covers Bon Iver's "Skinny Love" for Spotify Singles
As part of Spotify's Singles series celebrating this year's Best New Artist Grammy nominees, Japanese Breakfast has covered Bon Iver's "Skinny Love".
Japanese Breakfast is the latest Best New Artist Grammy nominee to take part in Spotify's Singles series, and as well as recording a performance of Jubilee track "Be Sweet", Japanese Breakfast played a cover of Bon Iver's "Skinny Love".
"We decided to record Bon Iver’s "Skinny Love" because it felt like a very surprising cover for Japanese Breakfast," Michelle Zauner said. "It’s so moving and sparse. We felt we could add some interesting instrumentation to the track and celebrate our fellow label mate Bon Iver."
The new Spotify Singles release follows Arlo Parks' cover of Kaytranada and Syd's "You're The One", and Finneas' version of Bon Iver's "Flume".
