Janet Weiss updates fans following car accident
Ex Sleater-Kinney drummer Janet Weiss has updated fans on her recovery after being involved in a "scary car accident".
Last week, Janet Weiss, formerly of Sleater-Kinney, revealed she had broken her right leg and left collar bone in a car accident.
Weiss had been advised to take 12 weeks recovery time, meaning she had to cancel her forthcoming tour dates with Quasi.
Sharing an update yesterday (18 August), Weiss wrote, "After five nights in the hospital, I'm happily settling into my home routine and feeling positive, basking in the overriding feelings of luck and gratitude and relief that Drew and I survived the accident."
Weiss added, "Three months in a wheelchair is going to be a challenge but you all inspire me to do my PT, rest up, stay healthy and get strong. I dream about playing the drums again. Plus, the election year is coming up quick, I need to be in fighting shape!"

The drummer quit Sleater-Kinney back in July, and her proposed dates with Quasi overlapped with Sleater-Kinney's The Center Won't Hold tour.
