Jamila Woods nods to Eartha Kitt on new single "EARTHA"
Jamila Woods has shared new single "EARTHA", inspired by the multi-talented artist, activist, and artist Eartha Kitt.
"EARTHA" is the second single to be lifted from Jamila Woods' second album LEGACY! LEGACY!.
On the new single, Woods says, ""Who gonna share my love for me with me?" These are the thoughts that play in your head after an argument with your partner. These are the pages you write in your journal the next morning. This is everything you wish you could have said, or everything you've said a million times without it being heard. The moment you realize you are worthy of more. Inspired by the badass spirit and wisdom of Eartha Kitt."
Woods' new offering arrives after last month's "ZORA". LEGACY! LEGACY! follows on from her 2017 debut album HEAVN. The multi-talented artist spoke to us about Afrofuturism and the themes on her album in 2017.
