James Murphy posts behind-the-scenes footage of new short film 'Little Duck'
James Murphy has been popping up everywhere lately and mainly because of Arcade Fire but this time it’s to do with his collaboration with Canon on short film Little Duck and a series of behind-the-scenes clips captured in Japan during the making of the film.
The film tells the story of the life of a young man ”pulled from his life in Manhattan back to his home in rural Japan when his estranged brother runs into trouble.” and the clips sees Murphy talking about his work ethic and creative process with director Ron Howard, the photos that inspired the film’s location and themes and the purification ceremony the film’s team had to go through during production.
The film was made as a part of contest launched by Canon camera company where filmmakers entered to win one out of five places at the Canon Project Imaginat10n Film Festival bumping shoulders with high profile directors like Jamie Foxx and Eva Longoria.
Little Duck premieres at the New York fest in October, but check out the 25 second clip here.
