James Blake pushes back album release date due to "vinyl factory delays"
James Blake has announced that his forthcoming album Friends That Break Your Heart has been pushed back to October due to "vinyl factory delays caused by COVID."
Blake's fifth album Friends That Break Your Heart was due to be released on Friday (10 September), but he's revealed the release date has been pushed back to 8 October following "vinyl factory delays caused by COVID."
He wrote in a statement, "It was super important for me to have vinyl day and date for my fans as I have never had that before and so many of you have requested it."
Blake added, "That being said, I am excited to release a new song soon and to start playing the new music for those of you coming out to the US tour which kicks off September 16th in San Diego."

So far Blake has released two singles from the record - "Life Is Not The Same" and "Say What You Will", which arrived with a video starring Finneas.
Friends That Break Your Heart will follow 2019's Assume Form album, and will include collaborations with SZA, Monica Martin, JID and SwaVay.
In July Blake appeared on Dave's We're All Alone In This Together song "Both Sides Of A Smile".
