Jack White's Third Man Records opening first London store next month
Jack White has announced the opening of a Third Man Records store in London, which is also the first Third Man Records store outside of the US.
Next month, Jack White's Third Man Records will open a new store in London, following previous stores in Nashville, Tennessee and Detroit, Michigan.
The London store, which will be the first Third Man Records store to be outside of the US, has been designed by White himself (last month he launched a new site for his art and design work).
According to the site, the new London store will include a two-level retail space, intimate live music venue called The Blue Basement, and will also be the European HQ for Third Man Records.
On top of announcing the new store, Third Man Records have called on Paul Weller, David Ruffin, The Jesus & Mary Chain, cornershop, The Raincoats' Gina Birch, and The Magic Roundabout to contribute something new or some previously unheard material to the Third Man catalogue. The exclusive releases will be available on vinyl from 25 September via the Third Man Records site or the three stores.
