Jack White certainly enjoys breaking records. His latest solo LP has already become the best-selling vinyl release of the year and its lead single the fastest pressed and released vinyl record of all-time, and now he’s broken vinyl sales records in the U.S stretching back 20 years.
As Billboard reports, Lazaretto is the best-selling vinyl LP since Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy in 1994, shifting 60,000 copies to date. In comparison, Arctic Monkeys’ AM has sold 29,000 and Daft Punk’s Random Access Memories topped the vinyl sales chart in 2013 with 49,000 records sold.
