Jack White's ex-wife Karen Elson files restraining order against him
According to reports, British model and singer-songwriter Karen Elson has successfully obtained a restraining order against her ex-husband Jack White.
Nashville’s The City Paper report that Elson applied for the court order following an alleged “flurry of harassment allegations”, specifically “harassing emails and text messages” with suggested violent overtones.
The couple broke up in 2011, famously throwing a joint party to mark their so-called amicable split. But now the legal document reads that Elson “fears for her and the children’s safety as a result of this harassment.”
The pair are due in court on 29 August for a custody hearing involving their two children.
Elson’s 2010 album The Ghost Who Walks was released by White’s Third Man Records label, with the White Stripes man himself taking up producer duties.
