Jack White joins headliners at the Madrid's Mad Cool Festival
15 new artists have been added to Mad Cool Festival’s 2018 lineup, including marmite rock star Jack White - and the festival has sold out its three-day passes six months before it's due to start.
It's Jack White's first show in Spain since 2012 and he'll be playing one of the two main slots reserved for Friday, 13 July.
Also joining the line-up are The Big Moon, Wolf Alice, Richie Hawtin, Daniel Avery, Odesza, James Bay, Leon Bridges, Kevin Morby, Young Fathers, and blackbear alongside Spanish artists Toundra, Rufus, T. Firefly, and Biznaga. Rufus, T. Firefly, and Biznaga have been recognized by the Spanish Music Journalist Society as finalists for the third edition of the Premio Ruido, an award that recognizes the best Spanish albums released each year.
White joins headliners Depeche Mode, Queens Of The Stone Age and Pearl Jam on the lineup, which also features Tame Impala, Franz Ferdinand, Sampha, Perfume Genius, Future Islands, and SOFI TUKKER.
The additions bring the running total of artists playing Mad Cool to 75. Individual day passes for the event, which runs from 12-14 July, still remain but are also selling out fast, organisers say.
