Jack White accuses The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach of ripping him off in leaked email

Last night, it emerged that Jack White’s ex-wife, singer-songwriter and model Karen Elson, has obtained a restraining order against the White Stripes frontman after an alleged series of harassing emails and texts. Now, one of said emails has surfaced online, in which White warns Elson off Black Keys musician Dan Auerbach.

“My concern with Auerbach is because I don’t want the kids involved in any of that crap,” an email published by TMZ reads. “You aren’t thinking ahead. That’s a possible twelve fucking years I’m going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that asshole with other people trying to lump us in together. He gets yet another free reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world.”

White has not been quiet of his dislike towards Auerbach in the past either. As Consequence of Sound note, the singer bad-mouthed him to Rolling Stone back in 2010, even going as far as refusing his band entry to his Nashville recording studios.

Elson and White broke up in 2011. The pair are due in court on 29 August for a custody hearing involving their two children.
