Brace yourself for Jack Chuter's new book Storm Static Sleep: A Pathway Through Post-Rock
Anyone who wants to topple And So I Watch You From Afar as champions of Post-Rock should keep their eyes peeled for Jack Chuter's new book Storm Static Sleep: A Pathway Through Post-Rock.
Believed to be the most detailed account of the history and development of the nebulous genre, Jack Chuter's book details the evolution of post-rock and it's rise in popularity.
The book covers and features quotes from prolific and prestigious bands that have come to define this niche genre, from Talk Talk and Slint to Mogwai and Sigur Ros. In fact, Chuter conducted over thirty first-hand interviews with some of the most influential names in post-rock, including writer Simon Reynolds.
The book is due out 30 November 2015 via Function Books.
