Ja Ja Ja club night returns: Take a look at Finnish rapper View's photo diary

The Ja Ja Ja club night returns this Thursday, 25 February at The Lexington with turns from Norwegian electronic duo Smerz, Finnish rapper View and Denmark’s CTM.

Ahead of the show, we asked the Finnish entry to put together a photo diary of the things that keep him inspired - and sane - from around his base in Helsinki. You can take a look at the diary, along with some words from View on what these images mean to him.

I got this painting from my old producer. It was a gift that he made for me just before he moved to Berlin. I keep it on my kitchen wall and it reminds me of the times when I truly found myself as an artist.

Aleksanteri`s theatre right next to my home. I like to spend my free time by going to theatres and watch improvised acts. Actually I prefer it more than watching movies.

Helsinki at night. I find myself often being most creative at night time. I like to walk around the empty city and just listen to music. I write most of my songs at night.

Cholo: Best burritos in town. My daily lunch comes from these guys. If you ever visit Helsinki you should try check it out.

I love minimalism. I try to keep everyhting as simple as possible even when it comes to my music or decorading my home. Simple is beautiful.

This is my "somewhat" home studio setup. Pair of Genelecs and a large screen. I only do demo vocals from my home and some of my voice acting work, so I like to keep it minimal.

One of my best friends is a tattoo artist, so every now and then he adds some ink on my skin.

We often use trains when we're doing gigs outside of Helsinki. I find travelling by train somehow very relaxing and it’s also great because we can work on our music.

This one is from our last gig that we had in Turku. It was a sold out event and the energy from the audience left me speechless. Main reason why I do this.

Different cities and different hotels. There’s nothing better than having a good chill out after a great gig and creating some new tracks!
