Ja Ja Ja club night returns! September to feature Axel Flóvent, CHINAH, and The Fjords
Ja Ja Ja, our favourite Nordic showcase, is back next month - and the first line up has us giddy already.
Danish trio CHINAH, Norway's The Fjords, and Icelandic singer/songwriter Axel Flóvent are all on the bill
CHINAH have already been garnering widespread support in their home country, and with their slick, R&B-flecked electro, it's easy to see why. This is endlessly addictive, and with the promise of a new EP just around the corner, CHINAH are all set to leave a mark on London.
Norse quartet The Fjords might still be a touch new, but they've been tipped by big names already - Spotify have spotlit them - and a slew of festival slots has gathered them a loyal following.
19-year-old Flóvent's been on our radar a while now - and for good reason. The Icelandic troubadour has been offering a modern twist on traditional folk, conjuring huge emotion with his ruthlessly effective songs.
The first Ja Ja Ja club night of the season takes place 24 September at the usual spot of The Lexington. Tickets are £7 in advance, or a fiver for Ja Ja Ja members (sign up for free and get other goodies too!).
