J. Tillman plans new solo album

Having released a string of solo albums under his own name, Fleet Foxes drummer Joshua Tillman is taking up the moniker of Father John Misty to release his new album Fear Fun. According to The Agency Group‘s website Tillman abruptly left Seattle last summer and ”lived in his van for two months, wrote a novel on mushrooms and unexpectedly began writing songs under the name Father John Misty in a haunted Laurel Canyon shack.” The album was recorded in Los Angeles with Jonathan Wilson and will be released via Sub Pop on 1 May this year.
