J Mascis takes part in Third Man Records' first at home concert series episode
Dinosaur Jr's J Mascis is one of many musicians that took part in the first at home episode of Third Man Records' Public Access series.
Jack White's Third Man Records have relaunched their Public Access series to adhere to the social distancing measures. Last month, Third Man Records announced daily livestream performances filmed in their Blue Room studio at the Nashville HQ.
Yesterday (21 April), the label shared the first episode of the relaunched Public Access livestream series, this time featuring a bunch of musicians performing songs from their own homes to follow the social distancing rules.
The new episode features performances from J Mascis and his son Rory - who cover The Greenhornes' "Saying Goodbye" - Olivia Jean, Rich Ruth, Benjamin Myers, Drinkard Sisters, and more.
Third Man Records' co-founder Ben Swank says, "We're attempting to capture the lunacy and creativity of this incredibly unique time and present it through an early MTV meets late night UHF psychedelic experience. Join us, while we laugh through the tears in the rain... Fuck Trump."
