J Mascis shares album title-track with visuals featuring drag icon Dina Martina
J Mascis has shared his album title-track "Elastic Days", accompanied by visuals with miming drag icon Dina Martina.
"Elastic Days" is the fourth track to be shared from J Mascis' Elastic Days record, after "See You at the Movies", "Web so Dense" and "Everything She Said".
The new video features lip-syncing drag icon Dina Martina. Mascis said of the video, “I’ve been a big Dina Martina fan for a long time. I’ve seen her perform many times over the years. I’m glad that I got her to do this video before she becomes an untouchable superstar. I am amazed at how the video came out, I’m so psyched.”
J Mascis Elastic Days was recorded in his own own Bisquiteen studio. While Mascis has done the majority of the legwork for his new solo project, there are a few features and guest instrumentals from Ken Miauri on keyboards, Pall Jenkins (Black Heart Procession), Mark Mulcahy (Miracle Legion, etc.), and Zoë Randell (Luluc).
Elastic Days will be J Mascis' third solo release, and follows on from his 2014 solo offering Tied To A Star, and Dinosaur Jr.'s 2016 release Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not.
