ITV to produce Now That's What I Call Music! documentary
The history of long-lasting compilation series Now That’s What I Call Music! is set to be made into a documentary by ITV.
The programme, set to be a hour in length, has been commissioned by the channel and will air this summer.
The Story Of Now will see several industry experts, musicians and all-round celebrity types discuss the growth and impact of the brand which has sold over a million copies in the UK.
ITV’s commissioning editor, Claire Zolkwer told MusicWeek:
“Every Now album evokes particular points in people’s lives. This show will take our viewers back through the soundtrack of their lives and help them relive many special moments.”
The compilation series, which started back in 1983, will release their 84th edition on Monday (25 March).
