Ishkur’s guide to electronic music has finally been updated
Ishkur's guide to electronic music, originally created in 1999, has finally been updated.
The guide includes a timeline of all the sub-genres of electronic music, complete with definitions and playlists.
Ishkur's guide covers techno, hardcore, breakbeat, acid, house, and masses of other genres created through electronic music.
There's even a UK garage section, which has grime, dubstep, and less familiar genres such as brostep branching off from UK garage.
The new guide was expected to arrive in 2017, but has only just been updated.
As Electronic Beats note, the new update sees the guide extended up to 2019. Some of the newest sub-genres to be noted are trap, brostep, and Dutch house.
