Iron and Wine shares wrestling-themed video for "Everyone's Summer Of '95"
Iron and Wine has shared the video for new-old tune "Everyone's Summer Of '95", which features on Archive Series Volume No. 1.
Sam Beam will release a brand new album later this year, Sing Into Your Mouth.
The new video stars David Dastmalchian (Prisoners, The Dark Knight, Ant-Man) as a wannabe pro-wrestler. Directors Erin Elders and Jeff Tomcho have spoken about the clip:
"Iron & Wine's music is immediately beautiful, but as you get drawn in you start to see darkness in there... we wanted to create a unique environment that was as genuine as his song but also with a bit of mystery. The idea was to create a character who could perhaps exist in an Iron & Wine song and follow them around for a night, seeing what unfolds. It was really great collaborating with David Dastmalchian, along with Jacob Fatu, Adam Sparn-Hesson, Warren Ross and everyone who made this story come to life."
Archive Series Volume No. 1 is out now; it features a range of unheard rarities recorded around the time of his 2002 The Creek Drank The Cradle.
