With Jarvis Cocker recently revealing that he’ll be taking a year out from his weekly Sunday Service show on BBC Radio 6 Music during 2014, his replacement has now been confirmed as none other than Iggy Pop.
“I think it’s safe to say that I’m very excited to have Iggy Pop looking after my seat here at 6 Music, while I’m away for the rest of the year,” the Pulp frontman said of the news.
Cocker will helm this weekend’s edition of the show, interviewing the Stooges singer before handing over the mantle to his temporary successor. That’ll air on the station from 4-6pm on Sunday.
