Iggy Pop confirmed as narrator for new Tutankhamun documentary
It's been announced that Iggy Pop will be the narrator for the international version of Tutankhamun: The Last Exhibition, a documentary on the ancient Egyptian pharaoh.
As Variety reports, Iggy Pop will voice the international version of Tutankhamun: The Last Exhibition, while Italian musician Manuel Agnelli will narrate the Italian version of the documentary.
Tutankhamun: The Last Exhibition, according to IMDb, will explore "the history of the Tutankhamun tomb's discovery in 1922 and the preparation of the Tutankhamun exhibition launched in Los Angeles, 2019."
Nexus Digital’s Rosella Gioffré said of Iggy Pop's involvement, "We were looking for somebody that could give a different appeal to the narration of the movie, and we thought of [Pop] and he accepted."
Producer Sandro Vannini said, "When we heard his voice for the first time we said this is the voice. This is what we need for this film. The voice of Iggy Pop is simply incredible."
Vannini added, "When he read the story what he was going to narrate he was immediately keen to work with us."
