Idris Elba has revealed on socials that he's tested positive for coronavirus despite not experiencing any symptoms.
The actor, musician and label founder uploaded a two-minute video to socials yesterday (16 March) confirming that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
In the clip, Elba reassures fans that he's "doing ok", and reveals he decided to get tested and to quarantine himself after he found out he was exposed to the virus.
He goes on to say, "look, this is serious, now's the time to really think about social distancing, washing your hands, and beyond that, there are people out there who aren't showing symptoms and that can easily spread it."
This morning I tested positive for Covid 19. I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus. Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing No panic. pic.twitter.com/Lg7HVMZglZ
