Idlewild announce first album in half a decade and UK/EU tour
Scottish alt. rock legends Idlewild are back with news of an eighth studio album - called Everything Ever Written - and impending EU/UK tour.
Fans who pre-order the record will receive a free download of the recently-revealed track "Collect Yourself", and gain access to an exclusive presale for their upcoming tour (as long as you order before 5pm 6 November). Everything Ever Written is described as "twelve tracks of alternative rock woven together from strands of Scottish folk, Americana & Hebridean psychedelia."
Vocalist Roddy Woomble says of the album's construction:
“The album was predominantly written on the Isle of Mull...[it] soundtracks a period of transition. Working without time constraints gave the whole thing a creative freedom. Idlewild is a new band to me now; I’m excited for the future.”
