Swedish electro duo, Icona Pop have entered Billboard‘s Dance/Electronic top ten after one of their songs featured in an episode of hit TV show Girls.
The track in question, ‘I Love It’ (which just so happened to be Best Fit’s Top Track of 2012) made an appearance in episode 3 of season 2; scoring the show’s creator Lena Dunham involved in a “drug-filled club scene”.
The soundtracking slot saw ‘I Love It’ shift 9,000 downloads last week alone, up 110% on the prior seven days.
The song had previously been Number 1 in the band’s homeland of Sweden.
