Ibeyi team up with Mala Rodriguez for first all-Spanish track "Me Voy"
Ibeyi have shared "Me Voy", a new single featuring Mala Rodriguez and another taste of upcoming second album Ash.
MANSON directs the video, which is produced by CANADA. The track follows Kamasi Washington collab "Deathless", "Away Away", and new Everything Is Recorded single "Mountains Of Gold" (the last one doesn't appear on the album - it's a giant team up with some friends from their label).
"Me Voy" is the first song from French-Cuban twins Ibeyi that's sung entirely in Spanish, with Latin Grammy winner Rodriguez adding a guest verse.
"English, Spanish, and Yoruba inspire us to write different kinds of music and lyrics," says Ibeyi's Naomi Díaz.
"We needed to sing in Spanish to set a sensual tone for this song. When women feel sensual, not only is it sexy, but also powerful," adds Lisa-Kaindé.
Ibeyi will embark upon a run of UK and European shows later this month, starting in Sannois, France and ending in Leuven, Belgium in December. Find out more.
