A first ever solo exhibition consisting of artwork from late musician Ian Dury opens in London this week, running at the Royal College of Art.
Ian Dury: More Than Fair- Paintings, Drawings and Artworks, 1961-1972 runs from 23 July – 1 September, with free admission. The show will collect over 30 works curated by his daughter Jemima.
Jemima describes the New Wave singer, best known for his work in Ian Dury and the Blockheads, as a “serious art student, with a strong work ethic… albeit an insecure one uncertain of what medium to pursue”.
