I Have A Tribe announces debut record Beneath A Yellow Moon, shares lead single "La Neige"
Dublin singer/songwriter I Have A Tribe announces his new debut LP Beneath A Yellow Moon and shares new cut "La Neige".
I Have A Tribe - aka Patrick O’Laoghaire - says that his record is partly inspired by his two-year-old niece's approach to the piano: “she sits at the piano and bangs the keys with her fingers or her toes and she sings and shouts the first notes that come into her head. There’s a lot to be said for that. Sometimes they’re the right ones. And even if they’re not - well at least she has a good laugh while she plays... the game was to play with abandon, like a kid”.
The upcoming long-player is produced by Paul Savage (Mogwai, Twilight Sad), and was recorded in Glasgow. Close friend and collaborator Dave Hedderman painted the cover art.
Beneath A Yellow Moon is released on 27 May via Grönland Records (Susanne Sundfor, Gang Of Four). It follows last year's No Countries EP.
Stream "La Neige" below. O'Laoghaire's upcoming European dates can be found afterwards.
