Hudson Mohawke reveals impressive 4K "Systems" clip by Nic Hamilton and Dominic Flannigan
Super producer Hudson Mohawke has shared his stunning video for "System", shot in 4K over the streets of Manhattan.
This is the second instalment of Warp x Channel 4's short film series, with the first clip, plus full details of the project/collaboration, available over here.
Mohawke has created the video with Nic Hamilton and Dominic Flannigan.
Speaking about the process, Flannigan says: "With ‘System' HudMo was inspired by some tear-out Jeff Mills, offset with minimalist classical arpeggios. When considering an associated film I thought of classic rave visuals and CG stock art of the late '90s where the grid ofthe city would be superimposed with circuit boards and processors. Here we updated it for 2015, commissioning our own 4K helicopter shoot over Manhattan which Nic Hamilton treated, placing in a CG environment that evokes Philip Glass’ 1000 Airplanes On The Roof’."
Hamilton added: “'System' is about big cities and screens, manic focused euphoria and cinematic panoramas. It is the experience of NYC from a helicopter at dawn with a 4G connection."
The track features on Mohawke's Lantern record, which is out now via Warp.
