Hodgy Beats releases video for new EP track 'Alone'
Odd Future‘s Hodgy Beats, who last month put out his third solo recording in Untitled EP 2, has released a new video for his track ‘Alone’.
The video eschews the cartoon anarchy of Rella and sultry cultural appropriation of La Bonita in favour of a simpler, colder confidence befitting the maturity of the song, in which Hodgy raps about his young son Trenton.
Untitled EP 2 was released free in June, and featured production from fellow OF member (and Trenton’s godfather) Left Brain, with whom Hodgy forms MellowHype. Last month that also saw the release of The Jet Age Of Tomorrow’s The Jellyfish Mentality, the third LP from original OF producer Matt Martians’ project with Hal Williams.
